Bank Victims Forums Code of Conduct
To have an account on the Bank Victims Forums, you must agree to this Code of Conduct. This code of conduct applies in any and all areas of the Bank Victims Forums and is a supplement to the Bank Victims Code of Conduct, which also applies here.
The purpose of the Bank Victims Forums is to provide support for Bank Victims. We also want this to be a place where community can develop and we can enjoy one another's company. To achieve this, we strive to maintain an atmosphere that can be enjoyed by all and we ask all members of the community to be respectful at all times. This means please use etiquette and politeness. Treat people with kindness, gentleness and respect. If you do this, the rest of the code of conduct won't need more than a cursory mention.
It is impossible for the owners and operators of this forum to confirm the validity of all posts on the forum. Posts reflect the views and opinion of the author, but not necessarily of the forum owners and operators. If you feel that a posted message is questionable, you are encouraged to notify the Administrator immediately.
You agree, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being permanently banned from this forum. Note that all IP address are logged and may aid in enforcing these conditions.
You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the material. Spam, advertisements and solicitations are also forbidden.
You agree that the owners and operators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, the owners and operators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
Participation is granted on the basis that you will be polite at all times and respect each other’s views.
We do not allow business or website advertising via username or tag line. The forum is not a medium to promote or advertise your own business.
You agree not to use any automated tools for registering and/or posting on this bulletin board. By failing to obey this rule you would be granting us permission to repeatedly query your web server.
Bad language will not be tolerated, neither will disparaging remarks or belittling another member. Any criticism should be expressed in a constructive manner with a view to taking the issue under discussion forward.
Posts should always be appropriate to the thread, and topics not be hijacked by irrelevant posts which contribute nothing to the subject matter.
In this forum and we have younger members and guests, please don’t post anything that could be deemed inappropriate.
Sometimes it may be necessary for the forum owners or operators to intervene posts for relatively minor reasons, for example taking a thread off topic. This just requires a little common sense and usually a friendly warning, either on the post or by Private Message, in which case that will be the end of the matter.
For more serious infringements, or where there the member does not heed a friendly warning, a formal warning will be issued, the post deleted or modified as appropriate, and possibly the member suspended.
For very serious infringements of the rules or unreasonable behaviour the offender will receive an immediate ban from the forum.
